OGC Recreational Policies and Safety Rules
Oakville Gymnastics Club will ensure each participant receives the best instruction available. In the interest of safety for all club members, we ask parents and children to observe the following rules:
What To Wear
Children will need to wear shorts and a t-shirt, (or other comfortable clothing – no skirts, jeans, belts, buckles, or zippers), have hair tied back, bare feet, and no jewellery.
Refunds are only given up to one week prior to the start of the session (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer) and will incur a $30.00 administration fee.
Refunds for March Break and Summer Camps will be given up to one week prior to the start of the camp and will incur a $30.00 administration fee.
No refunds will be given for PA Day Camps. Credits will be issued up to 2 days prior to the Camp date.
Parents and visitors are not allowed on the gym floor unless participating in a Parent and Tot class. Parents and visitors must sit in the observation area. Please do not talk to or otherwise distract the children participating in the classes. Any interruptions could result in serious injury.
The class fee does not include a mandatory annual $30.00 Gymnastics Ontario insurance and registration fee. This fee is valid from July 1 until June 30 of the following year. The Oakville Gymnastics Club reserves the right to remove any participant for non-compliance.
For your convenience, class availability and registration for all programs can be completed online. Full payment is required at the time of registration. Please note, registrations for the following programs MUST be completed in person or over the phone: Advanced Girls Recreation, Advanced Trampoline and Tumbling.
Online payments, and registrations taken over the phone, can be paid by Visa or MasterCard. Payments taken in the office can be made by Visa, MasterCard, Debit, cheque (made out to Oakville Gymnastics Club) or exact cash. Receipts will be emailed to you once the registration is complete.
Children must be turning the minimum age of the program they are registering for, within the first 4 weeks of the session start date.
Children must be the minimum age of any camp program prior to the first class.
All families registering with The Oakville Gymnastics Club will be charged a one-time $35.00 new building fund fee.
Due to coach/athlete ratios, make-up classes are not available. In the event of a Club cancellation, a make-up class will be offered at the Club’s discretion.
Due to an increase of nut allergies in children, all participants must refrain from bringing nuts and nut products into the Club.
Valuable items should not be brought to the gym. The Oakville Gymnastics Club will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.
Classes start on time. Do not drop-off children more than ten minutes prior to start of class. Children must be picked up promptly when class is over. Parents are required to supervise children at all times before and immediately after class. Oakville Gymnastics Club does not take responsibility for children left unsupervised after class. In the event you are going to be late picking up your child, please let us know.
Use of flash photography during training hours is strictly forbidden for the safety of our athletes.
