Wishing you all the very best this holiday season! Please refer to the December schedule for the modified holiday training dates/times.

‘Twas the night before Christmas when all through the Nest,

Not a creature was stirring, not even a coach unimpressed;

The pegs were all stored in the back with great care,

In hopes that St. Nick wouldn’t notice the smell in the air;

The athletes were home all snug in their beds,

While visions of routines danced in their heads;

As coach, in his onesie, settled in for the night,

His phone silently began to flash a bright light,

He answered the call to see what was the matter,

And the alarm company told him there had been quite a clatter,

Away to the gym he flew like a flash,

Tore into the lot, in a mad dash,

The moon shining bright on the new-fallen snow

Gave the lustre of mid-day to the whole gym below,

When, what to his wondering eyes should appear,

But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer,

With a little old driver, so strong he did seem,

That coach knew in a moment, he must have him on the team.

More rapid than eagles the reindeer they came,

And the driver whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;

“Point those toes, DASHER! Straighten those knees, DANCER! Now, PRANCER and VIXEN!

Get it together, COMET and CUPID! Good job, DONNER and BLITZEN!”

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,

When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky,

So up to the Nest roof the reindeer they flew,

With a sleigh full of chalk, and St. Nicholas too.

And then, in a twinkling, coach heard on the roof

The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.

The coach hid, crouched behind a blue mat,

When without further ado, St. Nick sauntered in just like that.

He was dressed all in fur and covered in fireplace grime,

But coach did not fret, he could get a Blesk suit in time.

A bundle of gifts he carried with grace,

He flung it so effortlessly – he’d make such a great base.

His eyes – how they twinkled! His dimples how merry!

So what if he was still just a little bit hairy?

His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,

But the pipe hanging out of it might have to go…

He would charm those judges with his little round belly,

That shook, when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly.

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,

And coach laughed when he saw him, in spite of himself;

A wink of St. Nick’s eye and a twist of his head,

Soon let coach know that he had nothing to dread.

They got to talking and in no time at all,

Old St. Nick was doing handstand holds up on the wall.

But alas he had more pressing matters at hand and laying his finger aside of his nose,

St. Nick gave a nod and up to the sleigh he rose;

He sprang to his seat, to his reindeer gave a whistle,

And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.

But coach heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND REMEMBER TO STAY TIGHT!
